The issue in discussion here is the character contrast that is seen in the Hamlet of the first four acts and the last act of the play.

... finally shows no hesitation in pouring the poisoned drought down Claudius’s throat. He realizes that his end is imminent and charges Horatio to inform the people of his wish that Fortinbras must be the next king. We see a hero who has fulfilled his mission. The painful thoughts springing from a tortured mind in the earlier soliloquy are replaced by quiet confidence [seen in his narration of his breaking open the seal and doing away with his so-called companions] and also the final action.
