A range of communication channels is employed by BP which includes regular meetings, free phone calls, open houses, publications and site visiting. It is considered that for tangible benefits to be felt by the project area communities there is need for serious implementation of project’s core values. These include consultation especially when the local communities are supposed to contribute towards the project such as land for oil exploration which many times call for population displacement.
