Review of connells wars in the classroom due to discourses provided to the public via media and written works, teaching as a profession has acquired an image as a comfortable profession. In reality, a teacher wears many hats, works long hours and affects our society and our future generations not only in an educatory way, but also in a societal way (Connell, 2010). Connell wants us to recognise this, imploring us to resource our teachers and update our curriculum having it tailored to fit our fast-paced world, arming children with what they need to function within it (Connell, 2010).
