In a country which is filled with skyscrapers and huge apartment blocks, i am one of the few who have had a villiage upbringing. In was only recently that my villiage- Nee- Soon, had to make way for progress. The homes of a few thousands of us were demolished , together with a cemetery and a few hundred of acres of woodland. It had been one of the oldest residental areas in Singapore, and lasted among two hundred years. I have had several exciting moments living in the villiage and so i do believe that they will make good reading to future generations of singapore. The next generations of singaporeans are only likely to have heard stories that at one time there were 'kampongs' or villiages in singapore. THere are definately three incidents in my life that i will include in my book and which i believe will interest my readers.
