DISCUSS ABOUT CHRISTIAN ETHICS IN REFERENCE TO ETHICS BY DIETRICH BONHEOFFER 1.0 INTRODUCTION Bonheoffer criticized ethics on the basis of morality and Christology. He argues that ethical behavior was established through the reconciliation of the reality of the world and the reality of God in Christ. According to Bonheoffer,[1] sharing in Christ’s reality requires one to become responsible performing actions according to the reality and fulfilling the will of God. Bonheoffer described that there are two ways of describing the will of God as the need of ones neighbor and the model of Jesus of Nazareth. He criticizes the possibility of having enough knowledge on good and evil. There is no justification on how people conduct themselves and recommends that all questions should be delivered to God for judgment. He says that every one is ...
... hypocrites. The rules followed in ethics do not provide solutions to the problems encountered by the people in life experiences. People should not impose regulations that will hinder their freedom. Otherwise, they should live in realism as demonstrated by Christ himself. They should not run away from their responsibilities for the fear sinning. Bonheoffer advocates that every one is a sinner hence its difficulty to stay away from guilty and needs God’s mercy.
