It is also a term for a socially and legally recognized marriage between two people of the same sex. In several countries, this kind of marriage has not been accepted even though people are fighting for the right to have it legal. It is only legal in two states in the U.S that is Massachusetts and Connecticut. Around the word it is legal in Nepal, Spain, Belgium, Canada, Norway and South Africa.
